We strive to create a culture that promotes community. We gather together as a large community on Sunday’s and at Hangouts which are smaller gatherings of 5-10 people throughout the county. We believe as the church grows larger it should also grow smaller. It’s in hangouts that bonds are formed and people are cared for on an individual level. _____ Our next semester of Hangouts starts up in June. Prayer is how we show one another that we’re covering them with our love and concern. ____ Personal prayer: The conversations that bring the clearest understanding and the most progress are the real ones. The ones we often avoid for whatever reasons might be holding us back. It can come in the form of fear, insecurities, or a lack of transparency and openness. Don’t be so consumed with having all the right words. Be consumed with the fact that God just wants a real conversation. What are you really going through? How do you really feel about this season in your life? Where do you need Gods help? He wants to hear from you. ____ Prayer for another: Don’t be afraid to pray for someone today. W O R S H I P _____ At Ocean Rock Church we celebrate on Sundays with music that acknowledges a living God and welcomes His presence to bring hope, peace, and love. Worship is an integral part of our community. We believe worship heals and is an invitation for God to do what only He can do. At Ocean Rock church you will hear a combination of “praise” and “worship”. We will usually kickoff the service with a “praise” song that celebrates who God is and His promises. “Worship” songs are usually more focused on surrender and asking God to help us in our seasons and remembering what He can do.
